JockoT's Journal, 26 September 2015

I let myself down today. After a glass of wine with my evening meal I sat down to watch Strictly. I had a fancy for some nuts and ended up eating half a bag of Cashew nuts. At least they were not roasted, but even still. I feel a failure.

Hey, now just have a serious word with yourself, you only have to look at your weigh graph to see how fantastic you are doing, so what if you had some nuts, you still have to enjoy yourself, it's not like your doing it every day. I too am a strictly fan, the competition is gonna be good this year. Don't beat yourself up about the nuts, a little treat is ok every now and then x

jockot. Don't forget failing at something is the way we learn. At least you can recognise where you went wrong and you know what you can do to prevent it happening again. On occasions like those have a few vegetable strips, with a nice dip. An easy dip is to get some galic or sour cream dip and for every spoonful of dip dilute it down with natural yoghurt. Add pepper or fresh chilli for a double hit, this should satisfy your taste buds.

A small treat now and then stops you feeling deprived of the good things in life. Some dieters don't include the odd treat and then what happens? They pig out one day and just give up. You're doing well!

This morning I finally had the bottle to weigh what was missing from the bag and to add my calories to yesterday's total. I still scraped in at 98% RDI. Good advice Dog, but I don't like vegetables and can't stand dips. Well, unless they are sherbet dips.
