Yeah, couldn't resist weighing in this morning. It was down, so that's great!

This morning started with a warm up, then elliptical for 29 minutes, then elliptical cool down for 15, then a cool down via Skimble. It claimed to be a cool down...and it really wasn't. My heart rate went back up like a streak! Oh well, I should just be loosened up for the day, right?

Had a heavier breakfast this morning -- lacking fiber (haven't gone since day before yesterday) -- so added Uncle Sam's original cereal and a fiber one bar to my normal breakfast of yogurt and grapes. Plus instead of pineapple juice, went for chocolate milk -- just 8fl oz. Used that in my cereal vs soy or almond milk. Made for a strange taste, but it at least served a purpose. Now I am stuffed. A feeling I don't particularly enjoy....but fortunately, will pass! :)

Today is the final day to get the project completed (from a distance). Headed to OH next week to be involved physically with the project. Actually looking forward to going....really will be looking forward to Saturday night, as our part will be done! :) Planning this event was right up there with planning our wedding. If you've ever planned a wedding, you know what I'm talking about. Maybe. Okay, let's say if you've planned a wedding that started off being 30 to 50 people and then grew to 350-400, then you know what I've been working on!!!

Still feel a tad guilty about boarding Love for a week -- but I know she will be in good caring hands. She's a favorite, from what we've been told. Once we get up to OH, I'll have too much on my mind to be worried for no reason about the dog. :)

Watched the movie, "Dark Shadows" last night, starring Johnny Depp. Actually enjoyed it -- it was light for the most part, which I needed. It was comical. It was pure mindless entertainment. Plus I'd never watched the TV show "Dark Shadows" so I had nothing to compare it to. That, plus Lavender Essential Oil on the inside of my wrists and behind my ears.....the stress was significantly reduced. (Must remember to bring with me on the trip!)

Proud of DairyFarmersWife resisting the temptations of the candy aisle. Drugstores for me are tempting to get fancy bottled waters or flavored carbonated waters. It's Freds that I start thinking sweettarts. I try not to go down that aisle when in Fred's. Or just under my breath say "no! you don't need that." And quickly walk away. Rite Aid for me...well, have found a new "favorite" - the Quinoa Chips with slight sea salt. 3.5 servings and I tried them earlier this week...wow. Plus I took home some coconut water with orange and some enrich with aloe and cranberry. Expensive waters...but oh so good ice cold!

Got my hair cut yesterday. Let's just say I've had a few issues with my hair that I've tried to figure out why. For starters, my hair started shedding in excess -- WAY more than normal. Like wads would be in the drain when I showered, or in my brush, or comb. For about a month and a half it was so. It became so bad that I just stopped trying to fix my hair. It was too much hair to ignore or pretend to ignore. So I started looking into a few potential causes. Earlier this year, as our home was being remodeled, we stayed in the house -- NOT recommended when doing the dry wall portion (experience talking here) -- I caught the worse cough and had terrible sinus issues, beyond allergies. And it was a dry unproductive cough. I went to the doctor 3 times from March to April to try and figure out what could shake this cough. I had cough meds, Rx sinus - nothing worked. Finally, they prescribed 12 hr Allegra D with Congestion in the morning, 6 days of steroids (3x a day), and Benadryl at night. Plus a coworker who has terrible allergies, suggested taking Ginger Root 3x a day and drink apple cider vinegar in the morning and eat an apple whenever I coughed. Can you believe the combination of the later actually worked? So I wondered if the 6 days of steroids - 3 x a day - caused the hair loss. Stress was my other contender - since that was about the same time I jumped fully into the planning of next weeks project. Or because I hadn't had George visit for now 2 months (supposed to get blood drawn to see what's going on). No clue --- ANYWAY, so my hairdresser commented that my hair was very thin in the back -- thinner than she remembered, and I had to rely my story that you just went through. NO, not a diabetic that I know of. NO, it's not my thyroid. NO, I am not pregnant. NO, the doctor doesn't think I am perimenopausal (only 46). Guessing because my hair was thin in the back was the reason that I now have a VERY SHORT hair cut. I had actually been trying to grow it out a little in the back, and actually enjoyed it to continue to let it. Apparently, now I will need to wait for quite a while. Hairdresser is a good friend anyway, so....maybe she did what would look best until my hair fully recuperates. The texture is off too. Very, Very dry. I use product to add moisture to it. Used to be naturally curly. Well, all the curl got cut off yesterday...and the hair on the floor, as I picked it up to put in trash...it felt like old Barbie hair. So, I guess I should be glad it's gone, and the new growth that is coming in (confirmed by hairdresser) will get a chance to restore my hair to the texture it was before.

Okay, gotta get on it....Later!!!!
