I have a similar problem with sciatica. Good luck with the injection. 

Bursitis is the worst! Hope you're better soon. 

I had it in my hip, very painful. Had the injection it did help me. All the best with the injection.

This may sound a little weird, but when I had bursitis, just by chance I met someone... a totally random meeting, who was talking about how he used magnesium cream on his painful feet... I decided to give it a go on my hip/ thigh/ pelvic area. I had almost instant relief and continued using it every day after my shower. I kept it up for months, even though the pain was gone. I rarely use it now, but rub it on if my back is sore from time to time. I can't speak highly enough of it. Good luck. 

Hmm magnesium cream hey, I will ,give that a try that on my chronic lower back (last 6 months). Thanks for the tip. 

Thanks for all the support. Magnesium cream! I’ll have to give that a go as an ongoing treatment. I had my hip injection. After just over a week, I have some movement that is painless, however, I still can’t cross my left leg over my right and it’s still a little painful in some positions. At least I can now walk, get in and out the car pain free and do up my shoe laces with minimal pain. Time to get off my arse and start doing some serious walking. Losing thanks heaps belly might assist with even more pain relief. I purchased some new scales today and they are nasty. They have an app and it tells me how unfit and overweight I am in big BOLD text. 😂
