Lord give me the strength to survive this day...having to put down my older cat. Such a hard decision to make - kept praying that I would wake up one day and she would pass away peacefully. But looks like it is not going to happen that way - this journey will only make me stronger. And the Lord has a reason for me to be on this path of sadness.
Please give me strength not to cave in and eat like a mad woman!! That is what I do when stressed out to the max and sad. But I know the eating frenzy will only give me more grief and stress - so I am going to keep those feelings at bay.
This is one day - I will be glad when it is over....
RIP Ms Buffy - you have been a good kitty

Aww.. I'm so sorry for you. It's such an awful decision to have to make. You're furry friend will be better off though, because there will be no more pain.

My mom had a cat named Buffy from 1979 to 1997, so she was eighteen. She was so loving, she was the best cat I've ever met, like a dog in many ways; much more than most cats. I am sorry for your loss, an animal truly is part of the family, I have a dog now...

I am so sorry to hear about your sadness, I know how you feel I had to put our Dog Ben down last year, he was 18 1/2yrs. They are such a big part of our family. I like you kept hoping when I woke up in the morning he would be gone. It was a very hard thing to do. We are all with you on FS I know it will be a big help to keep you on track.
