The death of a dream is the day that you stop believing in the work it takes to get there.” Chris Burkmenn /// My dream is to lose 40 more lbs and the work is all on me !!
We were under tornado watch yesterday so no gym but I did get 9500 steps in so Im ok with that. Spent the storm burning some calories cleaning my house and closet. AND I took a big step.. I started to give away some clothes. I was nervous too bc last time i gave away my fat clothes, i gained the weight back and had nothing to wear.I gave away some fat clothes, old clothes and just stuff i hadn't worn in 10 years and it didn't fit and this is gonna sound funny but it was liberating. I had been hanging on to clothes I knew I was going to never wear but I kept them for stupid reasons like I could wear that size 7 mini skirt again some day.I finally let go, and its huge part of my self acceptance. I realize Im not gonna be as skinny was I was then but Im ok with that. Im aiming for healthy and alive, not skinny bahahahahaha.

Seize the day buddies..We survived to tornadoes this weekend with minimal damage in our area and Im grateful for that and plan to make the most out of everyday.

Way to ride the storm out Red. I've been giving my clothes to Goodwill as they become too big to wear. It kind of keeps me on my toes, like you pointed out; I've got to keep losing or I'll have nothing to wear. I'm wearing jeans now that haven't left my closet in at least 5 years & some of my shirts are starting to look like dresses on me. Or at least that's what my kids are telling me.

Keep up the good work! I also have some "potato sacks" and need new work pants. I've given away a lot of clothes, it is liberating. You can always look back and be amazed that you once wore that size.

I had put a bag of clothes for goodwill in my trunk. The boys got all wet at the park(dont ask) and rummaged through the bag for something dry to wear home. They looked huge to me now! Its amazing how we dont really SEE the body changing and just obsess over numbers. You are rocking it Red!

Great job with the clothes I need to do the same. I don't have any that are too big yet but I have plenty that I'll never be that size again not even aiming for it. Great work having some too big, I'm looking forward to that day.

I've been giving away bags and bags of clothes and altering what I can since I can't afford new clothes. So there really is no going back for me. It's great motivation.

MSBUG, i cant afford a lot of new stuff all the time either. BUT i have a lot of stuff from years of yo yo dieting. I work from home, so i got me 5 good pairs of yoga pants i can use while im loosing the weight and I can use to gym so I basically put my gym clothes on in the morning . Once Im confident I am going to keep it off then Ill invest some more in my wardrobe. its kind of an incentive, lose weight equals new clothes.I had stuff from 10 years ago that i was keeping bc of the label, just taking up space that needed to go.. One great thing about the whole process was, i got to try on alot of clothes that didnt fit but now do... and it was just as good as shopping but better bc I already own them. :)

Great move - getting rid of those clothes is an indication that we believe you will succeed. Keeping them is an indication that we believe we are doomed to failure.
