LaShuan's Journal, 06 August 2009

Yesterday was a pretty interesting day, as I planned out my meal...I realized how use my body has gotten to eating 1400 calories a day, I was busy yesterday evening and had a lot of running around to do, but even though I planned each meal and snack, I was not able to eat all that I was suppose to [1900 calories]...in fact I even included a banana split from Dairy Queen to help use up my calories [520 calories]...I was only able to eat half of it though...and I was so full I didnt even get to eat the dinner I planned. Today I am suppose to eat 1584 calories, but to make up for missed calories yesterday, I will eat 1700 calories [try to eat 1700 calories]...We will see.

A good way to get healthy extra calories without filling up too much is to have almonds, walnuts or any kind of nut, really. It doesn't take many to add up to a lot of calories! Re your comment on my journal yesterday - I know what you mean about eating the same things. When I'm back to work I usually have pretty much the same things to eat every day with some variation. I don't get bored with it, I like it and it's easier to add to the food diary! :) Glad you have the weekend off! Hope you get to relax as well as exercise!

Oh, I forgot about my nuts...Great I dea..I had a bad experience with nuts when I first started dieting and I stuck them at the top of the cabinet behind everything else. I mis measured and ate a 1/2 cup of cashews and it was 600 calories!!! I was in shock! Great point...I should have read this yesterday. Thanks.
