Ended up having two indulgences today - an ounce of whole cashews and 1.25 servings (5 pieces) of Pretzel Crisps made like peppermint bark (my mother-in-law brought them to us yesterday)

Tomorrow is another (planned) high-calorie day. Getting Cracker Barrel! Having 1/2 order of Pecan Pancakes for lunch and the other half order for dinner. Was going to be almost 2,000 calories for the day, when I was planning on eating the whole stack for lunch and still having butter beans for dinner; but now it will be less than 1,700 calories. I'm actually getting the Mama's Pancake Breakfast which will have the 3 pancakes (upgraded to pecan), two eggs and 3 slices of bacon. On Saturday morning, I'm going to try something I haven't done in these whole 19 weeks. I'm going to try to SKIP my Dave's Killer Good Seed Bread toasted with Butter, and instead make a sandwich (on regular white bread, lightly toasted) with the leftover eggs, bacon and a Tbsp. of Duke's mayonnaise. I'll actually be getting THREE meals out of that one order. Good deal!

OK, bedtime for me. I really like that it's getting dark earlier now -- it's actually almost dark when I go to bed at 5pm now. Was kinda weird going to bed that early in the summer, when there were still a couple more hours of daylight after I went to bed.

Got all the birthday party dinner dishes done today, except for the InstantPot and the big pan I used to cook the string beans. I'll get to them in the morning!



So far, my daily average for the week (including what I have planned for Saturday and Sunday) is 1,478 calories a day. My goal for this week was to have 1,350 to 1,550 calories/day, so I'm still on track. Making these weekly calorie goals for myself seems to be helping a lot to keep me on course.
