Weight down 2/10 of a pound today, from 223.6 to 223.4. I'll take it. Hopefully, tomorrow will show a bigger loss. Knees not really hurting this morning. I think I might try walking in the house (a long rancher). I'll have to refresh my memory on how many "laps" equals 1/2 mile. I won't overdo it, though.

Actually turned on the heater last night. It was 65 in the house, so I set it at 67. We usually keep our house at 69 degrees year round. Nice to not wake up to a cold house this morning! I've been wearing a long-sleeved pajama top (over my short-sleeved one) that says, "Let It Snow." It's actually been raining for about four straight days. Starting tomorrow, it is supposed to be clear for almost 10 days, PTL. I don't like dreary weather!

My days still seem very long, even though I am only up 12 hours a day, from 4:30 or 5am until 5pm. We will be getting out of the house for about an hour this morning. When I go out, it helps the time to go faster, Yesterday, I went to the grocery store, and it broke up the day some.

Had all kinds of problems with my InstantPot yesterday. First time it's really been a problem. Instead of taking 8 minutes to cook baby carrots, I ended up having to cook them for 23 minutes to get them soft! Then, I was cooking wide egg noodles to make beef stroganoff, and I forgot to put a little oil in the water, to keep the foaming/bubbling down. When I released the pressure, I got starchy water spitting all over the front of the cabinets, and it took me forever to get all the steam out - resulting in the noodles being overcooked. Oh well, MOST of the time, the IP is very cooperative, and I love it!

Ok, it's only 6:05am, but I think I'll try to walk 1/4 mile in the house. Let's see how it goes. Something is better than nothing, right?

Did it! 575 steps is 3/10ths of a mile. Couldn't count how many "laps" it was, because my husband was still asleep when I started, so I couldn't include the bedroom in the loop. Knee started hurting almost immediately, and hips felt like they were "cramping" - weird. I put on some Diclofenac, and I'm going to set an alarm for every hour to see how many times I can get in some more walking. Next stint: 7:30am.

Walked at 7:30, and at 8:30, and then went to the store for a couple things. When I got home, I only had to walk three or four laps to make it a MILE! Hooray for me! I haven't walked "on purpose" in months and months! (Had to take a pain pill for the knee, but I don't think I really overdid it. Tomorrow will tell.)

Hey, Debbie, if you can go 1/4 mile in the house, that's motivation. Had some hip and bum soreness previously, and turned out they just needed stretching or warming up.
