Homemade Biscuits

I have had a busy week! I have been part taxi cab driver (driving family and friends everywhere), part volunteer (helping file papers for a local business), and part waiter (waiting for that call that will give me possible job employment. fyi: have not heard anything yet.) But today is my lazy day. I will still workout (walking and strength training are on the schedule) but otherwise my day is basically free. So today I decided to make some homemade biscuits (now the subject of my journal title appears.) I love making biscuits, but I have not done this in a while for two reasons:
1.) I have no time.
2.) My biscuits never look perfect (aka fluffy and tall instead of flat like pancakes.)

I'm going to try to make biscuits even though I'm sure it won't turn out perfect because I can't give up the idea that I will one day create the perfect biscuit. It kind of sums up everything I set forth in my life: Even if I stumble and fall I have to get back up and start again. I hope everyone has a great day.

When are you suppose to hear from your new job prospect? I personally wouldn't fret too much on your recipe, if it tastes good and you enjoy it that's all that matters really. Isn't it?

Jones Jennifer, I should have heard if I got the job or not last Friday. I was going to call Monday to see if the job is still available. We will see how it goes.

Lots of luck with the job.... For the biscuits nothing ever seems to look like those magazine photos since half the time they are doctored or not even real food. I saw a program once and they showed you how it was done.

Good luck tomorrow. Food design and photography is incredible, the things they do to make food look good is unbelievable, usually it's not even food.

Don't knead\work them too much lol. Biscuits can be pesky. Unfortunately it's the fat that makes them light and fluffy. Good luck on the job front!
