Cheeks's Journal, 15 June 2009

Oh boy...Its been quite the year so far. Very emotional, which of course feeds into my emotional eating.

My husband and I have been through the fertility gamut. After having a successful donor egg retrieval, fertilization and transfer, we ended up having a miscarriage a couple months ago, devastating. Decided to take the summer off, and refocus our efforts (which unfortunately hasn't been on the weight gain due to feeling like I've been in such limbo). So instead now, we are in the middle of selling our place, and buying a new place, which has been a great distraction. I'm starting to feel better, and not so down...and feeling like I can start to focus on my weight again. We will start up again in the fall with the fertility treatments...luckily have 3 frozen embryos to give it another shot at. :) Keeping all fingers and toes crossed.

I haven't weighed myself recently...but the last time I checked it was in the low 190's, which is disappointing that I've allowed myself to let creep back up there again. I'm hoping to god that I don't see the 200 figures when I finally get my butt on the scale...but just haven't been able to get on the scale just yet, because I just couldn't face any more bad news.

So, hopefully I will motivated enough to keep logging on and recording my food intake and journaling...and hubby and I are planning on doing weigh in's on Fridays...but definitely NOT looking forward to this Friday's weigh in numbers.

The weigh in could get u goin and back on track.. Hopefully its not as bad as u think.. Hopefully its better and it jump starts ur dieting!

Thanks JayJay :) I hope it does kick me in the butt! I would have thought the first time seeing the 190's again would have, but guess I really need to cut myself some slack, and know that each day is a new day. I need to stay away from the snack machine and drink water! =D

Thanks Veggies! :) I'm excited to get caught up on all my buddies journals and see what you've been up to (will have to be done after hours though...keeping this up mostly for food diaries today...but of course, can't help but read things here and there! :) just at a quick glance, looks like everyone else has been doing great with keeping their weight loss up! Way to go!
