Jada Petsch's Journal, 30 April 2011

Sooo. Still maintaining. Starting to think it's my scale though. :/ Had the same number on it this morning as it did last night before I went to bed....How's that possible with the potty breaks between the two I don't know. >.< Just makes me frustrated though. Nothing to do but keep working out, and eating healthy. And maybe a new battery for my scale. ;) Haven't changed it in months...but we did buy some new ones for it, just have to figure out where they got stuck. XD I'll probably hit the park later today with or without my little girl and get some miles in. :) Have a Great Saturday Everyone!!

I know that darned scale is frustrating!I think it has a mind of its own. And,the gym scale is always so much more.By all means change the battery. If that fails to correct-just hit it with a sledge hammer.Ok-just kidding about that last part. But,you're right that you just need to keep grinding on.Your body eventually catches up and all of sudden the bottom will drop out and the scale will show it!Just keep the faith!!!

If its a digital scale, they sometimes get stuck- if the change is big enough, though, it will "forget". I find something (or someone!) else to place on the scale, then try again to get a clean reading.

I hear ya Lu! lol. Not whacking my 30 dollar scale with a hammer though. ;) I'm rather fond...well addicted to using it. lmbo. I'll probably end up having a little whoosh and losing 2 or 3lbs all at once. @gnat: It is a digital scale, and so needs the batteries changed me thinks. My hubs gets on it too occasionally so it doesn't get a chance to really get 'stuck' with my numbers. Taking the battery out, waiting a bit, then putting it back in can help to get a clearer reading too. But going to just replace the battery since I haven't in months. :)

Monday night I'll be making Ratatouille!! :D Means more homemade marinara, and lots of finely sliced veggies. :) Once I measure out how much of each veggie I'm using, I'll put the recipe in my cookbook. Thinking about eating it with a 1/2 serving of pasta, and a bit of cheese... Or I could add some browned ground beef to the marinara to add a little more meat to it. Hrm. Will give it more thought over the weekend.

To late to make it today. And I'm going to be doing the Spinach Ricotta taco's that someone posted on the forum for lunch. And the amount of dishes that would pile up from that much cooking would take me a looooong time to clean up. lol. So I'm going to make the marinara part of the dish tomorrow, since it'll take me 1.5 hours with prep and just letting the stuff cook. Then do all the veggie slicing monday. Making the time spent on the dish significantly reduced. ;) Also eating through alot of left overs since our garbage has to go to the curb Sunday night. lol Lots of reasons to do it monday. :P And Thank you. I'm just an inspired person, who enjoys cooking. I'm also good at following recipes. ;) And the trick is to not take your eyes off of what your doing for a moment...because if you do it will burn. And if you have to 'stir occasionally' set a timer so you won't forget. XD Oh and I throughly research a dish before I prepare it...and usually look at many photos before making something.
