Bracing myself for hitting my first goal weight. Knowing my personality, I am doing what I can to keep myself from getting obsessive about this. At this point I am thinking that I will continue to use my scale, but cover the weight so I am only looking at the other information. The way I see it, what I am doing now, I can easily do for the rest of my life (and I cant imagine doing it differently). If I continue doing this it is only a matter of time until I am at a healthy weight, so there isn't much point in obsessing over it.

earlier this year, I bought a calendar to write my exercise and for journaling(I wanted to start running and improving my time but my knees have kept that from being something I can do right now). On the inside cover I wrote down my misc. and non-weight goals. I haven't looked at it for a few months, but here it is.

Under 200lbs -- Nearly there!
run 5k -- Postponed
Pants size 18 -- Between 18 and 20 right now (was 30/32)
fit in all chairs -- forgot about this one, it was one of the worst feelings in the world, and one that I have not encountered for several months
see collarbone -- It is there after all!
shirt size 2x -- Considering I was a 5x this seemed like a big goal, I am wearing 1x lately
Eat in restaurants without feeling watched -- I thought this would be one of the hardest things to get over. I have gone years feeling uncomfortable eating in front of other people, and feeling really out of place if I went somewhere nice. I can safely say that I have not had this feeling for several months, even when we were on the road trip in California (where I expected to feel most uncomfortable) it really didn't bother me.
fit on rollercoasters -- Haven't had the chance to try this one out yet, but I can assume that most should be doable now.


All of us have come a long way. Everyonce in a while take the time to look back and remember where you were when you started.

I was so excited when I bought size 18 jeans yesterday. I went in the store figuring size 20, so surprise! I had forgotten about the chair thing myself. In good weather I love sitting outside at Qdoba but the arms of the chair pinched. I need to go try that out lol.

Great stats! It's good that you wrote down your goals and can look back at them and see how successful you are! Keep walking until you can walk/run. :)

Chair I was happy my hips didn't over flow. And taking a bath not touching sides. Best of luck.

Congrats on your goals, outstanding job. Wow, your post really hits home. Fit in all chairs and eat in restaurants without being watched really hit the bull's eye. I can add a couple more like being able to put my own socks on, tying my own shoes, seeing my toes when I stand, being able to get behind the wheel of just about any car, etc., ect.
