Had gotten off track again. What took over? Don´t remember. Had another bout with sciatica, or whatever it is, was down for about 2 weeks, couldn´t really do anything except nibble on bad food. Next thing, I´m almost back where I started from. Finally, got back on my feet again, first thing, hit the bike. My dr. advised against step aerobics, everything but walking and inclined bike. There goes the strengthening exercises.

Anyway, got back on stream, lost 2 kilos the last 2 weeks, no junk food so far. Gosh, that stuff is the most addicting. I can go without the fried chicken, hamburgers, whatever, but the Oreo cookies! I´ve been on and off them for about 20 years at least. Chips ahoy aren´t bad either.

But..I didn´t get too far offtrack. I had cholesterol done, is down to 136! Glucose, 64. Now...those are the numbers I´m most interested in. Have lost 50 points in cholesterol since March! Maybe the lab is making a mistake. I´m going to go back in 2 weeks, give it a go again. I hope they´re right. But seems alot to me. Carbs up, my fish gone! About 95% Whole plant based diet. Nothing processed, except my little bit of sugar and corn oil for popcorn. Now...if I could just get rid of that...

Glad that your cholesterol is good for you and your doctor said it's ok to walk and ride your bike. I eat lentils, but the carbs are high so I make lentil soup with chopped spinach and spices, that way I'm not eating too many lentils. It's a lot of water and some good fiber. Sometimes I eat lentil soup from the can, but the sodium is horrible.

I live for fiber. We've had 3 hemrrhoidectomies in my family, and I don't want to be the 4th. With beans and oatmeal every day, I've got a heck of a head start on the fiber.

Since March I slowly increased my fiber to 25-40 grams a day. You are doing great on your fiber. Your sugar is a little higher than I can go. I keep the sugar column in my foods to 50 grams or less each day. My blood test in a couple of weeks will inform my doctor if I have been eating too much sugar. So I have been good! :)
