No counting calories and eating for performance. I'm absolutely in love with this way of life and absolutely finally feel that I've figured it out. Wow. I cannot believe it's taken me this long and this much experimentation - many books, 100's of hours of research - not to mention the hours of exercise that never really paid off as far as weight loss was concerned. I feel I was a bit misled and only from being my own advocate have I been able to avoid all the media hype, governmental bias, and do what works for me. No surprises really, just good clean food, avoiding processed garbage (and what that entails for *all* foods), avoiding unhealthy oils (you'll have to ask me what that means), watching for chemicals in foods, high amounts of vegetables and moderate proteins. Exercise is now about maintaining strength for purposes of performance, preventing joint issues, bone loss, and generally staying aerobically fit. It's not about weight loss anymore. That was always a bit of a joke anyway. Anyone who does the math realizes that you can quickly reverse any caloric benefits you've gained from 1/2 hour on the treadmill by simply standing in front of the fridge for 5 minutes. Not a very effective method to weight loss. In any case, I'm happy to be reaching my goal.
Have a great weekend all!
