my opinion is don't follow ANY diet at all. i was too scared of rules that i stuck w/ my own sense. really you know whats good and bad for you, if not. Read, research any info. if you like your carbs like i do mine, switch them out for 100% whole wheat. you'd be surprised how the little changes make a huge difference, and then lead to bigger better choices

A lot of this is having a new love in your life. You're getting to know each other and probably going out to eat a lot. That's totally natural. You're just happy and when the "newness" of your relatioship wears off a little, you may find yourself a little more motivated to stick to eating better. I think it's just a phase...you'll get back!!

I agree with Cindyshine. The times I do the best are when I eat LOTS of veggies with a small entree. Substituting small things, or finding lower calorie snacks, or even finding some new foods to eat can really help you. Even just not having junk around or available in the house and mostly having good foods in the house also helps. Good luck!

I think you guys are right, the new relationship makes it hard to eat right sometimes (not as an excuse, promise) but I am happy too so when we go out for special occassions I don't always make the best food choices. I have to have a "diet" though cuz I need the structure otherwise I'm too lax about it and don't end up losing weight. It was a combination of stopping a medication too that caused me to gain weight. I'm starting over today... thanx everyone for the advice and compliments... they are greatly appreciated!
