Sorry to complain. I'm just trying to keep an accurate record here. My shin STILL hurts! What did I do? I rested it completely yesterday. I didn't keep it up on a pillow or anything, but I didn't treadmill or take a walk. And now it's killing me! Well, I don't have time today to exercise, but I definitely will tomorrow!

I did well yesterday on my diet. Got a big happy face! I'm losing! I didn't weigh myself today, but I am just so happy with myself for overcoming a difficult food situation. Dinner with family. It's always hard. But I did not succumb! Yay!

I overate tonight at Passover dinner. Not really at the meal. But I ate a couple of cookies, and then when I got home, I had some chocolate and a bunch of bread. Yeap, bread. Not supposed to on Passover, but I don't really keep it. So I overate. No happy face today. It's a good thing I did that treadmill to counterbalance the after-dinner food. I'm not going to record everything I ate on my food chart.

I have no idea why your shin should still be hurting... maybe it is time to get it looked at. I would concentrate on exercise (like sit ups, some stretching etc) that you don't have to hurt it so much. Good luck!

Good for you, Debbra! By the way we're on the same team for the ABCD challenge. Go Brickhouse!

if you shins still hurt you can take those little paper cups that are usually used for like rinsing out your mouth after brushing, and fill them with water. put in in the freezer and once its frozen you can use it to rub up and down on your shins. almost like massaging your shins with the ice. I used to get shin splints ALOT... this always helped me...

I would say go get it checked if it's hurting quite a bit. Just to be on the safe side. I wish you well.

Well, everyone has been great giving me so much encouragement and tips. I just did the opposite! I treadmilled for 90 minutes. In pain, yes. And I'm sure I'll regret it later. But I just felt like moving. So we'll see how it feels tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll just take some Advil until it feels better.
