Wow, it was beautiful weather here today. I started the day off feeling out of sorts and crabby and the 14 preschoolers in my MOPS class were all bouncing off the walls and not listening but we made it through. Anyway, I was able to get out on a 1 hour walk (no running this time)around my neighborhood with my w/o buddy and felt great afterwards. Hubby and I were able to have a talk on some stuff that was dividing us and I feel better about that too. So, I am feeling back on track. The last few days I have just not felt like my strong self either mentally or physically. I feel good now and had a good day of eating. I did have one piece of one of my favorite desserts I had made on Sunday and have enjoyed a piece per day. It was very intentional and delightful with a cup of coffee. Just the way a dessert should be enjoyed- not snacking on it guiltily over the sink or something!

Did you see The Biggest Loser tonight? That was inspiring too. They each had to run a half marathon race which is 13 miles. Most all of them did it and many of them did it weighing over 200 lbs. It just showed me again I can do it with pushing myself in running, and so can all of you! I have been feeling lately that I will have a hard time running my upcoming 5K race that is 3.1 miles, but seeing them inspired me that I can do that. I have run that amount and more in the past, but like I said have lost some endurance not keeping up with my rigorous training schedule. So, I am reinspired and feeling that go-getter attitude that I love coming back!!! Yeah!

If you want training advice for completing a half marathon I am your girl. I will be running my 8th full marathon in a month and have done a bunch of halfs. You should do it. You feel amazing afterwards!!!

Glad to hear you're back on track w/hubby and healthy routine. You can definitely complete a 5K! All that matters is that you complete it...not the time. Miss reading your journals (and everyone elses)!
