ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES

since feb 24th(last post)...things have been very hetic around my house...

weve had a couple of storms that took down tree limbs and shingles off the roof and with clint laid up with cellitius (that is nasty stuff) he was not able to get out and fix them...he is one of "THOSE" people who wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to go - so laying around the house for 2 weeks near drove me nuts (him too...lol)...he went back to work monday - he is still sore and swollen but able to walk again...

my hormon's quit working so for the last 3 months i have been on new and different ones (so i have not weighed) and refuse to until things settle down...i feel bloated and puffy...but the clothes still fit (some alittle tight)...

i am back to working the second job 3 nights a week and maybe thinking of taking a couple of phyc classes...

the diet is going well...its weird...i decided for the new year to try and LIKE veggies...to change my mind thought processes (almost like hypnotising sp? my brain)...so far not bad...last nights dinner was parm crusted white fish...with grilled asparagus (rosemary and garlic) and the new thing i am doing is making 1/2 of the dinner plate a salad...mostly lettuce, celery and cucumbers with a little dressing...that seems to be working for me...i dont see a mostly white plate with little portions...i see a full plate and lettuce takes a while to eat - so my full feeling is not that delayed...and the hubby likes that also...

thats really about it around our house...i have been reading all the journals and love the determination and go gettim attitudes...yea all fs buddies...love ya...

Good for you getting your veggies in! I need to do that more. The only veggies I really eat are carrots! p.s. Saw your comment about your 130-lb. German Shepherd. Holy cow!! That's a big dog. Our pup is 65 lbs. right now. We'll see.

Hey there veggies yuk. Good work trying to change the way you think about veggies, I hope that works out! Of course, you'll have to change your name to veggies yum or something. ;-) Sorry to hear that the last few weeks have been rough, hope that things are looking up.

I was reading your profile... isn't it strange how husband NEVER say anything while you are gaining weight. My husband was the same way. I have been with him since I was 16 and he never told me I was getting bigger... but now, he tells me I am getting smaller (good). LOL. Thanks for all your comments always; it really helps me get motivated to continue on in this hard process!

Im glad Clint is better... that is a very serious infection and Its good to know he is back at work. Is he still weak? It will probably take time for him to build up his strength again. Good job keeping the weight down considering the hormone problems and things going on. Also good work getting some salad and veggies in... who would have thought that possible 6 months ago! Do you still like the Spaghetti Squash? Im glad to know things are going well for you. Love and hugs to ya!
