ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES

lets see...since my last journal...

WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND...on friday we did our date night - and talked like we used to - was so nice (ate a salmon ceaser salad) with hardboiled eggs on it for added protein

saturday - clint went to the fire house and then we went to the valentines day dance - he actually danced - i was so impressed...making the best choices of what was available for dinner was difficult...only one veggie tray and my eggs were sb appropriate - i have been studing the intuitive eating plan and decided to use it that night...so i had a couple pieces of salomi, eggs, celery, tomatoes, taco chips and salsa and a bean dip...not the best - but the best of what was there and 3 glasses of wine

woke up about 2:30 am with the runs - they lasted about an hour...lol...and off and on all day sunday - learned my lesson on that one...have to laugh at me...

sunday we took the day off and stayed home....i make my own alfredo sause and before we had the alfredo we had carob dipped strawberries, orange slices, banana chips, then i had a loaf of ww sweet bread that i toasted and spread with a sundried tomatoe, olive oil and garlic cheese mix -- we had chunks of crab, scallops, shrimp and white fish that we dipped in teh alfredo with chunky hot itialian tomatoes for dinner

monday we went to see the movie frost/nixon (popcorn with no butter) and h20...then we went to the cafe instanbul resturant for dinner...we had cabbage rolls - stuffed with lamb and cucumber, red peppers and other things...it was awesome...

than back to work...for the rest of last week...

on friday clint went to a men's retreat - when he got home he was kinda limping...turns out he may have a stress fracture and a lymphatic infection (cellulitus)...waiting now for the doc to cb with the xray results

food front is normal - some mishaps but not bad...

stress front is off the charts and that screws up the hormons - so i have to get things calmed back down...

sorry this is so long...just a lot going on...thanks for reading

First - Your journal is not long! Long is a relative concept. Second - I love hearing about your romantic time with your spouse! Awesome date night! Third - stress is a demon-dragon that must be slayed! I can feel stress coming on. For me it is a palpable tension in the neck, shoulders, and base of my skull. I must literally pause and do some deep breathing to slow down the effects as this tightness pulls over me. I must admit that I sometimes self medicate with Tylenol pm to get a deep, deep sleep. The deliberate deep breathing really helps!

Sounds like you have been busy. You went to the cafe instanbul!! Are you still cruising?? have you always liked that kind of food? I do hope hubby will be okay, it sounds like he must be hurting. Get yourself calmed back down, you know how to do it. Take a rest from all your activity maybe

Oh sweetie, I will pray like crazy for Clint and YOU and yours. I know how worried you must be. Surely they will find out what it is and fix it. I suppose diagnosis is always the most important thing... know thy enemy. Im sure they will figure it out, keep us posted okay? How are you holding up? BTW.. I have adventourous taste buds too but hubby does not! makes it a little more difficult to share anything when we go out.

Hope Clint's cellulitis resloves quickly. Make sure he takes the full course of antibiotics! Wound center is a great idea...they're specialized in this type of area and will know what to do to cure it as quickly as possible. ((HUGS))
