On to Day #6. Twelve pounds down (8 of which was water, but I'm making progress). Losing a little more quickly than I did on my 12-day fast in March. Things continue to be incredibly easy for me, for which I'm thankful to God. He knows I have VERY little will power (or WON'T power, when it comes to eating), so He has allowed me to not be really tempted by anything. Taking a mild laxative this morning, because if I go for the long haul, as I'm planning to do, I don't want food sitting around in my digestive tract for that whole time. Bear in mind that, though I have this lofty goal, I could fail at any time. In my own strength, I am helpless. I have no determination or motivation, except what God graciously gives me. But, "When I am weak, then He becomes strong."
226.0 lb Lost so far: 33.0 lb.    Still to go: 76.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

your doing great Debbie. longer fasts are difficult and it's only in His strength I can go longer than 3 days. I'm rooting for you.

YES!!! What Benjamined said. Also, I don't like laxatives. Yuck!!! I tend to get the poop-shoots ever since I've been on Diabetes II meds for a year now this April. I was ordered to take them April 1st, last year. Anyhow, get that image out of your mind(s), now. lol What I mean is, if I want to clean my stomach out, now, I will use Chinese-Diet tea, which works the same as laxatives, but more natural and delicate on the insides, and I load up on salads. There's a Super Kale salad I enjoy very much from Albertson's/Von's/Safeway's deli. It works beautifully and w/o any surprises. I'm glad you're happier now. Stay beautiful, positive, and blessed everyone and our families...Amen

Thanks, @Snowwhite100 and @Slow Meta. I don't generally use laxatives, either, I just don't like the thought of food sitting in my digestive tract for weeks at a time, so I made an exception, and I feel better about it. No surprises, just a nice bowel movement on Day #5 and Day #6. NOW, I feel more comfortable about my innards!
