Yea!! Picked up my new bike. 5 minutes on it did me in. Will be a learning curve figuring how to use the gears, my last bike was a 3 speed this is 22. Learned something, don't do almost 2 hours in the gym then try to ride a bike after many years of not doing so. Will have to not do the gym on bike riding days.

Yup I think that's plan at least for awhile. It's been over an hour since my 5 min on my bike and my leg muscles are still shaky. LOL. Sitting on the couch planning next week and playing online not getting much else done. Good day though.

I am thrilled that you got our new bike. Kind of jealous too since I have no where to ride (busy road - no side walks) I think you've picked a great activity. Money well spent. Enjoy!!!

Awww. There has to be somewhere to ride. I'm in the city but have a park trail (walking and bike) trail behind my house. I have recently found out that it is an easy connect to others in the area. I used to live in the country, nowhere to ride a bike, horses or 4 wheelers instead, would have had to drive somewhere first. Hoping to get fit enough to do the 9 mile group rides this summer. Will definitely have to make it more than 5 minutes!! Now I'm blaming draglist for buying this bike Lol.

I had been debating as I need to use my tax return and my bonus to fix a problem on my house. Those surprise checks of $448.00 from 2 class action suits let me invest in my fitness future. I could buy a good one instead of a WalMart special.

That's great with the bike! :) You'll quickly get used to the gears! I totally agree, it's better to ride the bike on no-gym days!

Good luck with the bike, my new friend! I spin indoors quite a bit & got into outdoor biking again over the last few years (like you after not being on one since collegeā¦ many, many, many years ago)! My DH is an avid biker & has been for years. We've gone on 2 amazing bike trips to Italy -- one last Sept & the other 2 1/2 years ago. I do love riding outdoors when the weather is nice, but for now spinning has to suffice. But, you're right, biking after 2 hours at the gym, certainly sounds like a lot! xoxox

PS - I have every confidence that someone as handy as you will soon master those 22 gears!

Thank for your support. Will have to get on the bikes at the gym more often, or go to the community center on some of my cardio day they have a spinning type one the ones at the gym are different. Just had to try it since it was a warmer day, i wasn't expecting to bring it home yesterday. The cold is back this am. Bike trips to Italy sound amazing! I don't think I'd make it a mile to the store and then back at the moment!! :-)
