More shovelling as we got snow again last night and temperature was the lowest we've had for more than 20 years- minus 18 in the mountains, but only minus 12 here. Today its still below freezing but is a gloriously sunny day. If only we could get out, but its so dangerous underfoot and there's a lot of drifting on top of ice. It must be cold because the cats have popped their noses out of the cat flap and then gone back upstairs to bed! Daisy never even lifted her head when I vacuumed up there.

I think I've done quite well with eating - haven't got anything bad in the house and can't get out to get anything. I seem to have hit a plateau again and I'm still retaining a lot of fluid. Can't really tell what my weight is until the new scales arrive. It probably won't be very quick as deliveries are slow because of the weather. Hope I don't get a horrible shock that'll send me into a 'poor me' mood cause I've been really up beat lately in spite of OH and his shingles. This weather brings all the animals closer to people in an attempt to find food and its good to watch. We had a lesser spotted woodpecker on the telephone pole this morning. Never seen one in the snow before. He'd got a lovely bright red head and black and white body and wings. Watched him (or her) picking goodness knows what out of the wood. There's a fine wire cage round the connections at the top of the pole as the crows pick at the wires and we lose our phone and internet connection. Have a good day everyone

LOL about the cats! We can tell how cold it is by how many cats are in bed with us. I love watching birds outside my window at the feeder. That reminds me! I need more seed! I hope you get a thaw soon!
