Symarae's Journal, 18 February 2014

Today has been a pretty terrible day. I mean I know it could be worse as far as days go but it still sucks. I went to the math center to study for my math test tomorrow and came to the realization that I knew even less than I thought. I struggled with that for 2 and a half hours. Then while I was having lunch, my boss texts me asking if I can come in for an impromptu meeting. Come to find out, the company is restructuring and my position will no longer exist and everyone with my same job title has to reapply online for a position that will now be open to the public and instead of the four positions we have now, there will now only be three. Not to mention, she isn't doing the rehiring so its possible none of us will be rehired. I still have to learn this math stuff and I have a lab report due tomorrow and a sticky set of chemistry problems that I have to practice for my quiz tomorrow. All I want to do is eat. Trying not to though. I just want today to be over.

I am proud that you are trying to stay in control despite today's events. Take a deep breath and deal with them one at a time. If I were in your shoes, I would start with the lab report and math quiz since they are the most immediate and the ones you can do something about. As for your job, for now, all you can do is pray about it and try to stay positive about it. And while dealing with all of that, maintain control on your eating. That should be your one guaranteed victory for today. =)
