Densible's Journal, 01 February 2009

Walk run lungeganza this morning. A bit breezy and sunny/cloudy. Lots of people out on the Strand. Even had some buskers playing music and one family was doing some sort of gymnastic dance routine. Sign of the times I suppose. It's entertaining but sad at the same time-at least to me.

I am working hard on staying in the moment. In anxiety limbo. Meditation and Praying seems to help. Also the occasional temper tantrum!

Weight is different every day. I can't seem to break back into the 130's. Oh mythical land of the 130's where all is sweetness and light-how I long to visit thee!

Have to work today as well as have a bunch of appts.Monday and Tuesday so trying to get ahead of the game.

Temper tantrums burn lots of calories, but they're hard on the people around you! :) I hope you power your way into the 130's soon. It's a far distant land for me! But I may see you there someday!

Seems to me I heard you saying the same thing about the 140's being hard to break into... now it's the 130's so that sounds like progress to me! I realize you had a glimpse of the 130's for a while but that should just assure you that they will show up again... you caught them once so they will be easier to catch this time. what are busker's? I am thinking of the last time I visited my old stomping grounds of Mission Beach where people were sitting along the strand doing things for "tips". There were two pretty young ladies that had drawn a "Good Karma Fairy" in chalk on the sidewalk... and they had a big tip jar that said... "it's bad karma not to tip for the good karma fairy". I tried to explain to them that by putting that sign on the tip can it would be "bad karma" for them, they had to let good karma happen and wish it for everyone if they wanted it for themselves without threatening people bad karma if they did not tip.. but they didn't understand. Maybe next time they should draw a "Intelligence Fairy". As for the anxiety, I know the feeling. There is nothing that can take it away but resolution about what you are anxious about. The good news is that it is curable ;) Just like a bad cold, a few days of rest will usually resolve it. At least we hope so

Wow. I totally did not understand the first paragraph of your journal..LOL I need definitions for lungeganza, the Strand, and buskers. Take a deep breath or two to ease your anxiety. Keep meditating and praying too. I don't know if the temper tantrum will work though, LOL. Keep hanging in there, keep taking your walks even if it's only 10 minutes, stay on track food-wise, and you'll be in those 130's before you know it! You CAN do it!

lol-Buskers are people playing music for money-like you see on Subway platforms, street corners, etc. The Strand is our version of the Boardwalk-it's a 35 mile long concrete path running from Torrance to Santa Monica along the beach. Lungeganza if my usual workout routine-consisting of running walking and lungeing as I take the beast out for our promenade along the strand. I sued to be embarrassed to lunge in public but no more!
