I have been eating up to my RDI of 2000 too and still losing! Life is good!!!!

Blisters? I must have missed something but lettuce can cause blisters? Congrats on losing. And getting a good night's sleep.

I have battled tiny deep seated blisters on my hands and feet for years. Some say they can be lessened by eating a diet low in nickel, and lettuce is high in it. As are a lot of other foods that are good for us LOL. So I am testing them out slowly and that way I can eat a wider variety of food than what I can right now. Other things that set the blisters off are dust, dishwashing detergent, hot water (I pretty much have cold showers), I have to wear gloves when touching lemons and tomatoes, raw meat etc. Crazy huh????

Thanks Sophie! It's nice to see relatively consistent drops each day, reminds me of the time before mayo LOL. Oh I did have some yesterday but I weighed it out and put it on my salad - twas a stupid little amount for soooo many calories LOL

Thanks Stef! I am weighing EVERYTHING now. Everything! Not sure what I will trial next, I know nuts and cocoa are two of the higher nickel ones so not sure if I want to go down that road just yet LOL. Maybe raspberries....

It sure is Cindy! I am sooooo relieved!! Thanks!!!!

I would try adding one thing a week, and see how you react...much like adding in foods on the carb ladder. Then you will know which high nickel things affect you and which ones don't. Good luck and great job with the weighing everything....I am back doing that again also, since I fear the carb creep may have tried to sneak into my life again!

Yup that is what I have been doing. So far shrimp is BAD lol. I fed my family the rest of the 1kg bad of shrimps for Christmas so I could get rid of them quick LOL. Lettuce and tomato are GOOD. I did sneak in some peanut butter once with no bad results but I dunno about nuts....

And you had another aftershock today?
11 Jan 11 by member: ctlss
We have them most days *sigh*. So over them! The wobbly wavy ones like today are much better than the hard sharp shudders - those scare the pants off me! Yeah I like shrimp and other seafood - lots of fish are high in nickel too. Oh well, could be worse LOL

That is such a bummer...I know that I am allergic to the nickel in earrings, and they cause sores on my ears, but haven't had any problems with my food.
11 Jan 11 by member: ctlss
Yup that is how mine started.... I guess in some of us the allergy grows...

Squigglywiggly, I surely hope all that quaking and shaking down under calms down...Is this the worst that it has ever been or does this kind of activity happen throughout the decades? I can't say that I hear much news about your activity and it does sound newsworthy to me. Quite distressing...I wish you peace and calm, and I am happy you are loosing some weight as I am sure emotional eating is very common in a place that shakes and quakes all of the time..TOWANDA!!!!!
