I swear, sometimes I wonder how my old fat body gets by on the crappy 1400 calories I feed it for like 10 days in a row without losing ONE POUND? I don't believe in plateaus. According to science and math, I MUS be losing weight because even if I were in a come, I'd be burning over 1800 calories a day at my present weight, and I'm walking daily and fairly active.

I can attribute some of it so salt and water weight, so maybe soon, I'll have a three pound pee and then suddenly all the days of not cheating will suddenly add up, but it's frustrating as heck when you stick to it every single day, write down every bite that goes into your mouth and every step you take and you stay at nearly the same weight for 9 days in a row!

Argggg!
245.5 lb Lost so far: 34.5 lb.    Still to go: 96.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Keep drinking plenty of water...and take your measurements from head to toe. That's what I do to keep me sane when the scale won't move :) Neck, arms, back, chest, waist at the natural bend, hips, thighs and calves. Best wishes to you :) You can do it!!

The scale will catch up. I had a friend go down in sizes and the scale didn't move for months. It happens. Keep at it and the scale will move again.

Make sure you are not eating too few calories also. If you do it may be telling your body you are in starvation mode.

Try tracking your sodium! You can use your fs food journal to do it. I keep track of mine. I find that if I go over 2300 mg of salt a day it definately shows on the scale. And my body will take a couple days to let go of the water.

Thank you all for the support and remarks. I get it about the sodium, but truly, water isn't fat and one Mydol should shed that water weight, right? I'm going to Google starvation mode. This website says I'm burning a net of 1500-2000 calories per day, meaning that I should be losing 2-3 pounds a week. It seems against the laws of physics to do anything else!

Sometimes the scale will just stick. Midol doesn't always work. And basically I think my hody just gets stubborn.....like holdingyour ground while dealing with a 4yr old having a fit over being told no. Its rough. Not always esant. But you just hold your course and be just as stubvorn til the weight drops. ;) Keep on working it Lady it has to drop down sometime.

I have that same problem. I can go without a lose for days and then all of sudden I am down. The body is just weird. Just keep going. It will change.

P.S. Hoping not to overshare, but in spite of lots of fiber supplements, a few days of constipation may have had some impact on lack of weight loss, as well. We shall see tomorrow.

Irregularity is an issue. People are just different. Hang in there. You've got to have more will power to get past those sticking points than someone who sees steady losses. As you get leaner I'll bet that all changes.

How frustrating! Have you ever researched your MHR%? If you exercise within 60% - 80% of your MHR range then you will burn those pesky calories fast. If the exercise you are currently doing is not up in that 60% - 80% range it is a slooooow process. Try Googling heart rate calculators I am sure you will find some good info! Maybe that will help? Good luck :)

Be careful with your diet. Make sure you are eating enough because if you're not your body stores alot of the energy as fat. And good luck

Try eating more Fiber, less fat and higher protein foods. That really works for me. Good luck!

and drink that water! Often when I hit a slow period, simply upping my water intake is enough to kick start my loss again. Just don't give up. ;)

Same here but I just put on some clothes that made me smile. Its not always what the number shows sometimes its the way you feel and how your clothes fit good luck and be positive
