I Kinda Want To Run Today. The Thing Is I Hate Running in My Community Since Theres no where to really go and there are a bunch of people my age there, so it's kind of embarrassing. I Mean an overweight person running with like 25 kids the same age as her watching throughout the neiborhood. Yeah, so it's kinda weird. And I Know people say "Get someone to run with" but no one wants to run in the cold. :/ Oh Well. I'll eventually get over my dumb fear of running infront of people.

Hey Jamie... I know its tough but trust me when I say this. Just get out and do it. Run. Don't let anyone or anything stop you. One of the BIGGEST and Best Moments of my whole journey was when I put aside my fear of people staring at me and RAN. I said screw the looks, the insults and the comments and RAN. It will be the best thing you ever do for yourself, not just physically but emotionally.

People don't think what you think they do when they see someone jogging. I used to be self-conscious also, until one day at my gym I saw a woman almost as big as I was jogging on the treadmill. I didn't think, "omg, look at the fat lady," instead, I thought, "hey, if she can do it, then maybe I can too!" & she actually inspired me to try it the first time. Just start out slow, even if you can only jog for 30-60 seconds at a time, that's better than 0 seconds!

Im sorry but the only person stopping u is YOU!!! put a hat on, play ur ipod, do some stretches and keep ur head down and hit the road, I’d say any one have a problem with u or start staring, wave to them and wish them a good day, cause this is for u no one else, and maybe at the same time u will inspire someone else who has the same fear, good luck

Hey just checking up to see if u ever made it out for a run? I couldnt help thinking of u yesterday while I was at the gym when I, put my hat on. Played my ipod and just got to it and I felt I was a little harsh to ya. I didnt look at ur profile until after I wrote my previous comment. I know what it like to be a 13 yr old girl. Kids can be cruel and they make fun of different cause they dont understand. Believe me in a few yrs those kids arent gonna matter to u but there will always be someone jealous or envoius of u. Someone is always gonna stand in ur way. There is always gonna be someone tryin to stop u from becoming what ur tryin to become. Dont let others people thoughts rule ur life. if ur not ready to hit the streets running. Start in your back yard. Or run in place in front of the mirror in ur room. Just try something. Do it for u. U desevre it

It Wasnt Harsh, It Was The truth And Thankyou. Yes, I Did End Up Running. I Didnt have an ipod But I did Have The Hat! No One Even Seemed To Be Worried About Me And Many People werent outside since it is so cold. I Also Went On A Private Trail Called Downs Park And Ran 2.5 Miles. I Would Go There Everyday But It's $6 to enter. So I'm Glad I Got The Advive So I Can run In My Own Neiborhood. Thanks For The tips ItsMyTime2. -Jamie

I just wanted to stop in and say Congrats to you. I'm one of those people that's scared to jog in front of people. When I lost weight years ago, I would jog until I saw a car or someone walking near by, I would then walk. Right now I'm using a walking DVD in my living room to get my cardo in. I also have a mini trampoline. Anyway Congrats to you! Downs Park is a very nice area to run, it's about 20 minutes from me.

Oh Cool. I Live about half an hour from Downs park. And Thankyou. Yeah I still get a little anxious when people or cars pass by but I just ignore it now. I also have a cardio workout dvd that i use from Netflix. They Can Be really fun if you get a dancing one or one with music that pumps you up. Thanks again- Jamie.
