I did better on the eating front yesterday. In fact I probably was a little under my calories for the day but I wasn't really feeling well~ I think I may be coming down with this illness that seems to be afflicting many of my FS friends near and far. Stuffy nose, sore throat, etc. My stomach wasn't feeling so great either. That's why I ate so many (reduced fat) Wheat Thins yesterday. It was the only thing that didn't make me want to lose my cookies! I'll probably have some plain hot tea after I finish this journal entry.

One of my couponing buddies is very sick. She had cervical cancer but it was treated 2 years ago and appeared to be gone. Then she had another screening a few weeks ago and it appears to be back in full force. In fact, it has spread. The doctors aren't very optimistic... giving her a 10% chance to survive 1 year. She's only 33; married w/ a 10 and 8 year old. Sad. She's not bothering with chemo; said it's not worth it b/c her stage 4 cancer isn't treatable. She's trying a hollistic diet and alternative medicine instead. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I hope it doesn't hasten her death. :(

On a more positive note, Salem and I went to the Hyatt last night and LOVED it and put down our deposit. Emily, the girl who does all the wedding related coordination, is awesome. She even threw in a free upgrade to Patron (best tequila ever!!!) instead of making us pay something for "premium" like we were supposed to. To get the full premium alcohol package it would have been an extra $8.50 per guest!!! Wow.

Now if I could just find a dress for myself!!! Locking down an officiant for the ceremony, getting myself a dress, mailing out invitations, and finding a photographer are our last "big" things to take care of.

I'm down a half pound today. Slow and steady. I'm good with that. While 140 is the goal, I'll be OK with my "normal" weight of 145. It just needs to be a toned 145.

First of all I am so sorry about your friend. Secondly I hope you aren't coming down with what I have because it stops you in your tracks. I said I was getting up today as I feel much better but everytime I stand up I just want to get back in bed. lol I looked at the dresses and they are beautiful. I am so happy that things are progressing so nicely for you and I love that you are sharing this with us.

So sorry to hear about your friend, but I do understand her choice not to have chemo at this point.... your dresses are very nice... you will have to post some wedding pictures ....It is a good feeling as each item on the list gets completed...

Wow...cancer is so scary!!! Hope you get to feeling better and of course you will be toned by then.

Hi Chris! I'm sorry about your friend, cancer is so scary... I strongly believe in alternative therapies and holistic medicine, I'm sure it will help her more than anything. Of course it won't cure the cancer, but she might have a better quality of life following the therapy than the chemo. Keep going with the exercise and a clean eating, the results will follow! I'm sure by march you will be where you want to be. Take care!
