Chris1979's Journal, 23 December 2010

Tonight when I get home I will be doing Day 2 of P90x. Unfortunately there are only 73 days until my wedding so I can't do the full 90 day plan but I'm hoping 2 months will make a significant difference to how toned I am. I'm working on eating healthier as well. Too bad I forgot my entire purse at home today... who does that? Sometimes I think I'd forget my head if it weren't screwed on!!! Anyways, as a result I caved and had 2 pieces of cake that was out from all our holiday parties here at work. However, I'm going to log it and still stay w/in my alloted calorie count for the day. Just b/c I messed up at lunch doesn't mean I'm going to continue this bad behavior when I get home from work.

I can't believe we are basically putting together a wedding in under 11 weeks. I also am in awe of the prices I found when I googled "Wedding Average Cost". Needless to say my hopes for a $10K or under wedding have been dashed to pieces. But, it only happens once (hopefully!!) and while we won't go overboard I think we deserve a nice day w/ our family and friends. We are getting married in what is techinically the "off season" as well which was supposed to mean it's much cheaper than say, my friend Allison's wedding. She's getting married this June in "prime time". So I can only imagine what her parents will be shelling out.

What makes it even more challenging is the fact that Salem and I are paying for it ourselves. Thank goodness for tax refunds! Lol. We will be filing ASAP.

I can say that so far we've got the band lined up (Vibe Tribe), and the venue (the Hyatt Regency in Penns Landing on the waterfront). Our florist appointment is made and the guy is supposed to be awesome (Carl Alan). I also found adorable invitations that go perfect with our colors. Now if only Beets was closer I'd hire her as my photographer! :)

Dress shopping will be a whirlwind... I have some ideas of what I like but many of my friends have said that once you try stuff on you often go with an entirely different style. Time will tell!

I'd love to be in the 130's for my wedding but honestly as long as I look more toned I'm going to be happy.

Wow that sounds wonderful. Wedding planning can be so much fun. Wouldn't it be something if Beets could be your photographer? lol I want to hear more about p90. Is it over an hour or more each day?

Chris, no matter what the scale says you will be stunning in your dress, I'm sure of that. With P90X everyday (Cathy yes it's one hour a day from what I read on the forum) and clean eating, you will rock! Just don't let the planning stress you too much. I think I'm going to make the 73 days challenge with you lol, I don't get married but I could for sure get more muscle definition!
