I went to the farmers market today and bought some luscious turnip greens. Just $3 for a huge bunch grown locally. They were so beautiful! Kind of a pain to wash all the sand out of them, but so worth it. We cooked them with Coleman uncured bacon and sauteed red onion. I love the turnip roots as much as the greens. A soft-boiled egg and some red potatoes on the side made for a wonderful supper. We bought a couple of small square plates at Crate & Barrel on our way thru Atlanta yesterday. A novel presentation does make a meal feel more special.
