I thought that excersize was supposed to cause endorphines to do their magic and make a person feel good!!! Where the hell are my endorphines! I work out - HARD - at the gym 3 or 4 days per week and I have yet to experience the "after-workout-endorphine-high" WHATEVER

How about experimenting with how you would feel if you did not work out for a week or two? You would probably start to feel sluggish and lazy and would probably want to spend more time on the couch. Your mood would probably decline. I feel much better when I work out regularly - the "high" is not extreme and really is just noticeable when I don't work out, like when I am out of town (cause I don't skip working out for anything b/c I don't want to feel sluggish).

The high for me is just getting my "exercise" done. I do feel better later with more energy. I too have dogs and prefer to walk with them, go hiking or work in my garden instead of going to the gym. The rain here in the pacific NW can make going to the gym more pleasant though.
