Day 554- If you have not read 'Born to Run' I suggest you do if you are here on FS. Even if you have no plans to ever run it is worth reading to learn about the human body and how we have reacted to the modern way of doing things and eating habits. As I read the book it confirmed a lot of things I went through over the past year. Again, if you are not runner you will enjoy the book it has a story that goes along with everything. A book I am putting in my top 3 right now.

I know a few have mentioned they are using some sport tracking apps. I wish I would of seen this before I choose one. I use MapMyRun and like it (so much I paid for a full year). But I have looked at a few of the others and they do have features I wish Map my run had. The reason I like MMR is I had a few friends using it and have friended them and others on the app and for some reason it keeps me going just knowing that I know they look to see what I did this week. I was thinking about during my last run and how one of the reasons I was running was because I knew somebody was looking, LOL. Again, I wish there was a way to merge data from different apps/sites....? One thing MMR does not have is a HR monitor that works with a driod (nobody does, google does not allow it!) So I still do not have a good way of tracking my HR without having to do it myself. I am thinking of getting a fancy watch and HR strap that will upload after my runs, but don't want to spend the money unless I know it is going to work. I bought a cheap HRM and it does not do what they claimed it did... so I am a little scared to shell out more $$$. I tried using my work Iphone with MMR and it is way off on the GPS tracking. I guess I break down and get a Garmin????

Set a goal of running 100+ miles in August. I should be able to do this plus more. Thinking of running a half in Oct. Philly Rock-n-Roll? or AC? Not sure where I want to go with the running.....

If it was easy, it would not be hard........

You can use more than one tool. I have a Garmin and use an HRM strap. I upload to Garmin Connect (automatically by Bluetooth) and Strava when I come in. I connect with different people on each. JP (poster child) and Chris (CJT1217) from FS are on Strava. I've done a NY Rock 'n Roll. They're well done. What about ING on Nov 3rd?
