Difficult as it is at the moment nothing beats good old fashioned will power. Try to keep busy and not give in to temptation. Good luck 🙂

Organise video call get together if ur feeling lonely? My friends and I have been playing dungeons and dragons and my fencing coach has been doing classes over zoom. Helps keep us all occupied and not so isolated.

I have the same problem. 6kg extra with Covid so far but I am now planning and boxing all my meals for the day. Once it's gone, it's gone, can't have any more. Keep calling friends, find things to do around the house, paint something, take up knitting, anything and everything to keep you busy and away from that fridge!

Hey there, you are not alone!!! I gained 10kg over lockdown, but my gained total weight is 20kg due back injury and unable to exercise!!! It took me good 2 years to pull myself back together!! Fasting helps me, it controls your appetite, and your weight!! You should try it too 💐 and dont you worry to much, never think about past, think about future, thats what focus you should be on ❤️

You are definitely not alone! The sudden change to everyone's lives is making us fall back on bad comfort habits. Its super hard, but when I get the urge to eat I have a very big glass of water and then busy my hands / chew some gum. Usually I get so distracted i forget. Also having set eating times can help, though this isnt for everyone Hang in there! Not alone.

It's caused me to boredom eat quite a bit, I also just sit working off my laptop instead of walking up and down the office to grab files/talk to secretaries/etc. Those micro movements I think made a big difference. Also I think stress is a factor in weight gain and I'm sure we've all been a bit on edge these past few weeks. Just gotta be kind to yourself, its natural to gain weight when there have been difficulties getting food and the fear of food shortages has been hinted at on a few occasions through media coverage of panic buying at the start of this.

Same here! home working, easy access to kitchen, evening boredom has all contributed to weight gain. So, I have started getting up super early (for me) and going for 3 hour walks. It's been heavenly, I have surprised myself! so here is the start of my diet. I'm aiming to lose 42lb. We can all do this!

Hi!!! Recommend trying the Couch to 5K programme by the NHS. They have an app and a podcast. I have hated running for ever (exercise in general). And decided to give this a try (I also am 20kg overweight). It is easy to follow. The first walk/jog was 60 seconds, I thought I was going to die (in only 60 seconds) and 5 weeks later I compleated 20 minutes of non-stop jogging in the parks and streets. Is a 9 week programme, free, you only need a pair of running shoes. Try it!!!!

I'll second that camagil. I'm 61 and doing it. Dreading week three but last week I was dreading week two and got through it. I'm running circles in the garden 🤣
