A new low! It's only 2/10 of a pound but I'll take it! This is when it often bounces up a bit again, but I will fight like the dickens to keep it. Someone should write a book called "The Last 10 Pounds." It is a unique situation and the normal diet rules don't apply. When I was at the Lindora clinic, they were really in over their heads - like it was uncharted territory. What works for people who have more to lose just doesn't apply. Your body is fighting like mad because it wants fat stores for emergencies. It doesn't know we have grocery stores in handy locations and refrigerators in every home. Speaking of refrigerators, I just ordered a new one yesterday. What a HASSLE. There are a million of them out there. How do you choose? I had tight parameters since this house was built when they were a lot smaller and I wanted to get the biggest one I could within those specs. I was actually on line reading specs for refrigerators ALL DAY. Then the credit card was refused and I had to start over. I guess CitiBank's database has been compromised and they wanted to issue a new card in the middle of my transaction after spending the entire day working on the project. Today is a new day and I start with a new low weight so I am THANKFUL. God is good.

God is good all the time....here is something I used and now I am struggling to maintain mass (poundage) yes I am after I researched and did the below steps and boom I was there... Here goes: 1) Get my current weight 2) Based on my activity level (sedentary, medium active, advance active) determine my calorie needs at base metabolic rate (base metabolic rate is the amount of calories you need to be alive and move around normal life stuff) 3) then I calculate my macronutrient ratios based on Advanced exercise days and sedentary days. I then create my calorie and percent allocations based on this: Sedentary Day Fat calories, Protein Calories, Carb Calories. To do that, I use the below percentages: 30 percent of calories for Fat; 50 percent of calories for Protein; 20 percent of carbs Advance Days 20 percent fat; 50 percent protein; 30 percent carbs Based on your journal entry you calories are too low..

Thanks, buddies, for the wonderful feedback! I am not sure if I am smart enough to follow your instructions/calculations, BBFC_Girls, but I am going to try to do that. Thank you for helping me see how I might be going wrong. I am so blessed to have this resource!

Yay for the new low! I think appliance shopping in general can be a hassle. (My washer and dryer are dying, but DH and I are trying to keep them going as long as they'll cooperate before we have to drop around $2K on new ones.) I had a scare a couple weeks back where BOTH were seemingly dead, so I was starting to research appliance reviews and it was very daunting, mixed reviews all over the place, plus the nagging doubt that even if the thing has super reviews and isn't too unreasonably priced, that doesn't guarantee that we won't end up with a lemon. DH thoroughly researches products before purchasing, yet in spite of that it seems like our dishwasher wound up being a lemon. Thankfully he got an extended warranty- which has proven incredibly necessary- because the device, which was brand new in 2009, has broken down about half a dozen times. :-/
