Densible's Journal, 26 August 2008

Training at gym again today. There are several athletes (like professional basketball players) that work out together and today they were right next to me. I can barely do a lunge and they were jumping over a 5 ft wall (with both feet at the same time). They caught me watching with my jaw hanging open. My trainer also pointed out another "athlete" working out near us-male porn star. Fascinating...

Agreed to show up Thurs am for a spinning class. Oh gawd! I have not done that for years. My nether regions will not be pleased...I hope I am not the only one that shows up with a puffy seat cover.

Eating more than usual lately. It has just creeped up on me-200 cals more per day than usual. I am looking forward to the challenge so I can get some help refocusing. Stress probably has something to do with it..

Doing the weight lifters challenge now and it's fairly easy as I have been lifting weights 2-3x wk for some time and increasing frequency has not been too demanding...

That's it for now....

Peace out.

Hey now, dont forget about your commitment to team Hercules, we're going to be demanding a lot from you! :-) Way to go at the gym! I hear ya, my nfl neighbors are always around and they too work out where I do. Well gee, if you paid me millions to jump over a 5 foot wall, I might get there too, Maybe to avoid the porn dude though? lol

WOW!! you seem to really like this exercise stuff! It's always been a tough thing for me to like doing. I would rather do fun things like roller blade for exercise but all the things I think would be fun happen to cause injuries quite often. Im afraid of breaking a bone at my age now because 60 yr olds don't heal very well. With all the exercise and weigh lifting you are doing, the weight is bound to come off as long as your not over indulging in ben and Jerry's or something silly like that. Keep up the good work, it's gonna show up on the scales for sure

Oh I hope I did not give the wrong impression. I HATE exercise. I dread it and have to "just do it" most days. I am trying to be positive on my journal-don't like to whine in writing! Someone may use it against me. Full disclosure-I was jonesing last night for sugar and remembered that my stepson had hidden some Halloween candy from my last October. Suddenly I had a psychic vision of exactly where it was secreted (ESP fails me when looking for lost keys, passport, you know stuff I REALLY need)....I had to climb up the side of a tall cupboard to find it but find it I did. I had 1/2 snack size almond joy and 3 milk duds. I was able to stop the madness by getting all Helen Mirren on myself and brushing my teeth.

You are really committed to this exercise thing. I don't enjoy it either, but I try to commit. Good job!

THE FIT AND PHAT Challenge that starts soon. I know your dance card is full but I think you would like it--check it out.

you might be eating more to make up for the extra excercise your doing now...long as its good carbs, and healthy food wont matter about the calories...sounds like your doing great!!!

That's exactly what I have been thinking lately. I have not weighed myself for 2 weeks so I will weigh in tomorrow and see what the scale says. As long as I do not gain-I am okay with it (for now :)
