Got back from the coast early yesterday afternoon. The lady who cleans my house came over while I was gone to clean and to feed and visit with the kitties (who are spoiled, they like company and getting attention and pets). It was nice to come home to a clean house and happy kitties.

It was gloomy and foggy the first day or so at the coast. Still it's a little warmer there then it is where I live this time of year.

The plan was to try to eat healthy, but I didn't succeed. Although I did eat some soup I had brought with me, it wasn't enough. I had a deli sandwich - ham and swiss. I need to avoid processed meats and also cheese for the most part. I debated about getting a burger and fries from my favorite burger stand, but resisted. Instead I got a delicious Asian chicken salad. But on the way home, I was so hungry and stopped at McDonalds and got a burger AND fries AND a milkshake. About an hour after getting home I felt the beginning of a gallstone "attack" and knew it was because of the McDonalds meal, mostly the burger. I started drinking water and used a heating pad on the painful area so the "attack" didn't last long and wasn't severe. I am thinking I will need to get the gallbladder removed.

So beautiful, girl! I'm so glad you got to go to the coast. Sounds like you made some better choices. Good the attack didn't get too bad. Hang in there! You'll be hiking strong all over before long because of your current path!

Fritzl, I had major liver issues and tried many many things to heal myself. I felt my second liver epidemic coming on with severe pain in my side. I told my other half that I might end up in the hospital on my liver again at any moment. However it never happened. The last thing I did was turning vegan. It is the only thing that helped me. It took about a month of going lowfat vegan to get the pain to go away however I still felt unhealthy. Once the initial pain went away I was able to lose more weight. I have now moved into the low fat vegan lifestyle and have noticed massive improvements. I almost died about 7 years ago with liver and gallbladder attacks. I would highly recommend that you go vegan for 60 days and see if you get better. Forst find what's good with zero cholesterol and then move on to lower fats like no oil. Try to stay away from the vegan cheese but if you have to do it on the beginning. The animal products have high cholesterol and cortisol. You will do great just try 60 days.

Sound like you had a wonderful time. It's wonderful to come home and not have to worry about the house. I'm glad your attack didn't last long.

thanksashleyr, jcmama and wifey - the salad was really. It had so many things in it, 2 or 3 water chestnuts, a couple of snap peas, bean sprouts, a few sliced almonds. Glad I found the deli and bakery (great combinations!) and will likely try some of their other salads. Thanks Melissa - I actually only made one good food choice, the salad. But the free breakfast at the motel had me eating blueberry and chocolate muffins! Adameve - I hope your wife is feeling good now and will feel better afterwards! Thanks Tatauu, the clean house was a wonderful treat. Litter boxes were all scooped and cleaned and she even cleaned the refrigerator. DP - I do love McDonald's but have a feeling I'll have to give that up for awhile. Chris - I want to ask my doctor if there is anything else going on in addition to my gallbladder. Wasn't real happy with the limited information provided by my doctor and the surgeon - they were just reading notes made by whoever reviewed the ultrasound. I had another gallbladder attack today. It was really painful but only lasted about 15 minutes. 15 miserable minutes. Only had toast with butter. I know it's the butter. I know I need to go on a low fat diet. I did go vegan for 21 days earlier this month when I did the Daniel fast. But logging my food I saw I did not get nearly enough protein. But I did feel good and had no pain at all during those 21 days (plus I lost 11 pounds). I am going to go grocery shopping in a couple of days and shop the produce department and start stir frying vegetables and roasting them as well. Skim milk is a way I can get some additional protein.

My SIL had her gallbladder removed a year ago, it cleared up a bunch of problems for her.

You would be amazed at what would happen if you stopped eating meat, cheese and milk for 30 days. I am certain in 60 days without any animal products you would not be getting any attacks. This sounds much better then surgery in my opinion but it is up to you. You were given a gallbladder and well if it is filling up then your liver is being overloaded as well. Cutting out the cholesterol is a start. If you remove the gallbladder then overloaded liver will continue to pump out stones/toxins and the next health issue will be further down the g.i. track. The doctors do not care about you as they only are thinking of there second home or another luxury car. If you like paying them for it then that is up to you however if you want to be healthy then go vegan. It's really that simple. The choice is yours. Change your diet and become happy and healthy or pay through the nose and be ok constant pain, but hey the latter most likely involves still being able to eat hot dogs and cheese. Such a difficult decision you have.🤯

Fritzl, do yourself a favor and watch the following movies. You can rent them online. - fat sick and nearly dead (joe cross story about how he lost 50lbs in 60 days with fruit and vegetables and how he got off all his medications) -unsupersize me (lady loses 100 or 200 lbs in 1 year, goes from 300 plus to her healthy bmi in a year.) -Game changers (netflix) -what the health (netflix) Rent those videos and if you like them I have many more along with several hundred books on going vegan. I had the same thing and got over it very quickly. It really is not that hard. If you look at it surgery is going to leave you with a recovery time of at least a week if not 3. Try going vegan for one month (no milk/no meat/no cheese) and I am certain you will not have a gallstone attack. If I am right then keep doing the vegan and watch yourself loss weight and get stronger and happier. I lost 70lbs without working out. Now I am able to workout and it just keeps getting better.

Lastly, if you go vegan (low fat, no sugar, no milk, no cheese, no meat of any kind) eating nothing but lots of fruit, a daily meal of vegetables and 1 servings of beans(peas, lentals, chickpeas, ect) you will gain better blood circulation. I had extream swelling in my ankles and wrists from being at the computer and phone too long along with a very unhealthy life style (nearly all meat for several decades) and when I went vegan the swelling in my ankles and wrists went away in just over 2 weeks. Dont seek doctors that want to profit off of you. Dont listen to people on the internet that want you to take supplements or encourage you to undergo surgery, they are not your true friends just a disillusion. A true friend would help not encourage you to lose a body part/organ and live in pain. Removal of the gallbladder is a temporary solution as the next backup will be in the liver ducts themselves or in the small intestine/appendix/or large intestine as these organ will have to pick up the additional burden left by the lack of the gallbladder.
