a few days ago i weighed myself and i weigh the most i've ever weighed in my life.......my entire family suffers from diabetes, heart disease, and tons o/other medical problems...
fortunately, i am only a borderline diabetic right now and don't need medication.....
i decided today i'm going to diet w/my fiance and end this terrible cycle once and for all...i may not be able to save everyone, but hopefully by saving myself, my son will follow my footsteps for a healthy lifestyle! let your thoughts be with me! =)

I hear ya on the "heaviest ever weighted" thing...You have a whole site full of people here that want you to succeed. I KNOW that you and I are going to be able to pull this off once and for all! Whenever i get down, want to give up, or think that i cant run/walk that extra half mile i just tell my self "girl, just keep on keeping on" and that gives me the energy i need to get thru... so now im going to tell you this same thing: Just keep on keeping on! :-) My thoughts and encourangement are with you girl!

the most important step you've already taken: you've decided to make a change. congrats on that! i've been doing WW for 2 1/2 months now and i'm so glad i decided to do it when i did. i'd had a bad injury a few months before and i was eating to take away the pain and ignore what was going on. finally, i reached one of the highest weights i'd ever had. i started weight watchers soon after and have been happy with my progress. you will be too! just remember that there will be ups and downs , but if you keep going to the meetings (even if you've eaten poorly the whole week and you know you've gained), it will work. the support system gets you back on track when you start to slip...good luck!!!

oh - i forgot to add: you should try the "easy to do challenge". it's a walking program on this site. i started a few days ago and i swear it's already doing wonders by burning those extra calories i need to burn in order to keep up my progress!!
