Happy Monday Morning All - well, this weekend was...in a word...AMAZING! Had sooo much fun! Started with some shopping, and getting a manicure and a pedicure. Does wonders for my disposition! Saturday was full of activity - including a nice long walk at the beach. (feeling all stress leaving the system, just thinking about it). Then came date night! Got dressed up with the above successes from my shopping trip. New pair of jeans (size 10 Levi's) ...and a cute blouse that kinda reminds me of wildflowers, peasant shirts and my younger days all rolled into one.. and a new pair of shoes... well, long story short, my husband nearly fell over when I came down stairs to say I was ready to go out! He couldn't take his eyes off me all night. And after 21 years...AMAZING! We went to dinner, laughed alot...and then went back to the beach to play pool at a favorite hangout. Turns out they were 'temporarily' closed because of a big fireworks celebration going on that night...and we wound down the date by watching those together sitting on the sand, listening to the ocean and basking in the summer night air. It was a great date! Then Sunday turned out to be pretty spectacular, as my husband decided that my new found clothing purchases from the day before were so nice...that he gave me an unlimited budget to go find myself some new clothes that actually fit. (I have pretty much thrown or given away everything that used to be in my closet.) So I was off to go do some more shopping. FUN! At least to me. I bought a few things with him in mind...most impressive was a new dress...to which he replied " you don't even have to try that on, honey...I'm already there just seeing you hold it up in front of you!" Gotta love men! Well, it made my day...still smiling about it even now! AND - I was down another pound this morning!! Yea Me!!! ...here's hoping your weekend was half as good :)
