the most strange that i lately noticed is i have read in a number of places that to lose weight one must keep the check of the calorie intake, use the calculator to measure calorie but what i fail to understand what about the other factors like carbohydrates intake, fat intake, protein intake don't they have an effect on ones weight too
well i guess it might be that calorie has the most effect on ones weight :)

You are right! Many other things factor in to weight loss besides caloric intake. That is why we have weeks of doing everything right and gaining and weeks of overeating and losing. Things like genetics, metabolism, kinds of foods we eat and more all factor in to daily/weekly weight loss. For woman, hormones can make us gain each month. That is why consistency is so important. There is no one answer and you have to find what works for you. Plus, our bodies are made up of 60% water, so many factors can cause our weight to shift hourly (sodium, sore muscles from exercise, stress, etc.). You just have to be proactive and find out all the nutritional and fitness information you can and apply what works for you. Good luck!
