HCB's Journal, 04 April 2013

Weighed myself to get the stupid "Weigh In Now" to quit.

My poor eating in March caught up with me...logged a three pound gain!

Those wheat type carbohydrates just kill me! I am discouraged and sad to see gains...but honesty with myself is important to my overall success.

So, I must face reality and stay on track!

Let's rock it together!

I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

Don't you just want to tell it... "I'll weigh in when I want to weigh in"! Now that you're back on track, those 3 lbs will be gone in no time!

This is a small set back in the big picture. The most important thing is that you catch it and get back on track.

Now that wasn't so bad - and it is all downhill from here.

We all play on that see-saw, don't worry, it will move!

Those pesky carbs may have added to weight, but did not subtract from your determination. There were so many forces at play, wheat, weather, holidays they soon add up. Now though it's time to move and shake and rock it out and off. You can and will do this, I know you can and so does everyone else!! So you go girl!!

Playing on the see-saw is such a nicer way to look at getting on the scale. Everyone has ups and downs, some days just staying the same weight is a blessing. You know what you need to do and how to do it. You can do it!!!

Anyone who stays on a weight loss journey for more than a few months knows that gains are a normal part of the process. It's impossible to be in weight loss mode 100% of the time, 365 days a year. And even when we are doing our best, our bodies often have a mind of their own. Good job keeping it real and not ignoring the scale. You'll get back on track. Just hang in there.

I did the same in a matter of a few days. Gained a couple pounds over the Easter weekend. However, catching it very early makes it easier to bring it back down. I was feeling down and fat, and getting ready for TOM. Yep, stepped on scales and it showed. But, a few days later and it's almost all gone. Now, so close to being back to where I was able to get so I can continue on the hilly ride of a journey we call weigh loss! The same will happen for you I'm sure. Lots of water, watching the caloric intake, and moving/sweating it out! You'll get there!

Hello HCB! I have been gone for a long time. I see that we are practically in the same boat, hovering around the same weight. I am guilty of overeating, overcarbing, just whatever. I have not been slacking on the exercise, though! I bet it is still wintery up in Minnesota and I know how much that bothers you and how important spring and sunshine are to you. We will kick this in the tail and we will both get out of the 170S!
