Do you ever have diet paralysis? I went to the market to get something for lunch. I wandered the aisles reading labels, fingering produce, lurking around the deli counter....i just could not bring myself to commit to eating ANYTHING. Everything was either boring, too many calories, unhealthy, too much fat, too may carbs, did I mention BORING?

SO I wandered back to my office and am sitting here with a pit in my stomach and a defiant attitude. BAH!

Can't do anything with BORING ! Maybe it was just one of those moods we tend to get ourselves into. I've always thought it was harder to stay on track eating deli/take-out/restaurant food. Maybe you can start taking home prepared food or leftovers to work? I love leftovers for lunch. Probably not too good to let yourself get hungry too. BTW.. I love people with defiant attitudes!

OMG...totally know what you mean. Though with me, it's never "too boring," its always the "too many points or calories for what it is." My suggestion is to go shopping when you're not hungry, that way you can get excited about eating things and planning meals and getting creative with the whole thing...the paralysis isn't as bad when you're not looking for something specific, I've found!

Thanks for lending an ear and comments-I ended up eating a slice of pizza! I know I know BUT only 1 slice and it was very satisfying...oh and then I had a frozen yogurt!!! BUT only a small serving....

That's a good term for it, "diet paralasys", mind if I use it? I get that a lot when I'm eating out. I'll just go "you know what, I'm not hungry, I just won't eat" and then my husband will talk me into something. Sometimes I get frustrated too, but we know why we do this and we will overcome! At least we don't give in to eating junk, right?
