Happy National Absurdity Day!

The day should be celebrated by accepting the world's absurdities and working to bring even more absurdity into it. Spend the day being absurd in your dress, speech, and actions. Have you had some pretty crazy ideas of pranks to pull to really confuse people? Today is the day to do them. You could also read some works by absurdist authors and playwrights, such as Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett, or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has some elements of the absurd, and may also be fitting to read. You could also watch an absurdist film such as El Topo, an acid western by Alejandro Jodorowsky.

Great loss. Yes, I have read some of those absurdities. Excellent suggestions. Must confess, accidentally did the absurd this morning. While getting ready, had my facial hair trimmer on the wrong setting. Actually, shaved off a section of my eyebrow. OMG, I am not a big fan of make-up. What to do? First, tried mascara. Noooo, I looked like Groucho Marx. Quick find some sort of soft brown pencil and fill in the spot and spray pangs in place. Luckily, I see my hair stylist this afternoon. She's a great make-up artist as well. Hopefully, I will look sorta normal later. If I am brave enough to take a picture, will post. ARGH, tough getting older. 🤪

Thank you all for being part of my world! To quote Frank Zappa "To me, absurdity is the only reality."

Too insecure to post the eyebrow debacle. Feeling much better with the correct color and actually learning how to use an eyebrow pencil at 64 years of age! No more sporting a gang look with the missing section filled in properly 😂😂!

#Erquiaga glad you worked it out with the bisected eyebrow. After Chemo, it seemed to take forever for mine to grow back in. Now they're super light, and unless I'm doing something, I usually forget about them.

Is Spike Milligan's Puckoon looked on as absurd? It's certainly bizarre and I have read it twice. Love it.
