Here for my two-week weigh-in. Considering how much candy I ate this week, I'm taking this as a win. I had two nights where I just went, "Holy crapola, there's CANDY in the house! Chocolate.... Chocolate CANDY!" and then ate my weight in it. Ya...I probably shouldn't have done that. I actually made myself sick to my stomach one night (and then had a couple more pieces... idiot). Oh well. I'll take whatever loss I made this weigh-in period and move on. The candy is gone now.

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, or Dia de los Muertos, or whatever fall/harvest holiday you celebrate this time of year. We had lots of kids come by and partake. I love seeing them all in their costumes, even when the weather makes them cover half of it up.

Hi newgirl- I did the same thing w/ the Halloween candy a few days ago- miserable nite trying to sleep w/ an upset stomach!

I am a bibliophile as well - what do you have up there? We mostly collect Italian, German and American literature, along with some Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese and Japanese sprinkled in.

We don't collect so much as read a lot. There's everything from Kerouac, to Nietzsche, to Tad Williams, and Douglas Adams to a couple of different versions of the Quran, Bible, and Torah. We also keep a small section of children's books for when our nieces and nephews come over. Seriously, there's a bit of everything here.
