My new found liberty will have to wait a little while. Apparently, the Driver test passing certificate now requires me to have a licensed passenger in order to drive, UNTIL I convert that document into a drivers license. With an overworked hubby and one car, I have no idea when he will find the time to take me to the DMV. Thinking of just getting a taxi to resolve this issue asap.

Wore a pair of pants to the test and hubby said..whats wrong with your trousers..they look like they are about to fall to your ankles? Well it was my size 14 trousers that I bought a couple of months back, which were a little on the tight side then! Felt so good and when I got home I was doing the 'pull the trousers away from the body' scene forever. You know the one, where a person who has lost so much weight shows off how big their trousers used to be by wearing them and stretching all the looseness for the world to see. And then hubby said.."Hmmm..recently, you've been looking good". Well you could have blown me down with a feather because that was the first compliment I had heard from him in YEARS!!

My newest pair of jeans, a size 12 from Gap, keep falling down (luckily my supersized hips hold things in place!) and I keep having to pull them up. My oldest pair of jeans, a memento from Cali about 6/7 years ago are a size 10 and fit comfortably without a muffin top. I wouldnt mind it being a tad looser around the waist and thighs buts that because I like relaxed fitting pants. The point is...I think I am now a size 10..from my previous size 1X back in February!!

I would like to wrap up my weight loss at a size 8 I think and then I will move to a lifetime maintenance program to ensure that I dont have weight problem again.

The only downside to this weight loss is that I have lost muscle mass as well as fat (as well as the standard boob loss!). My weighing scales which once went from 90lb muscle to 95lbs during the peak of my exercising, now show my muscle mass to be 89lbs.

I know that this is because I am not exercising at the moment so I am not going to blame the weighing scales for inaccuracy. I am considering buying ankle weights to at least work my muscles as I walk around the house until I can develop an exercise regime again.

Independence weekend has been truly a weekend of freedoms for me and though some Americans may have lost the sense of what Independence represents(by virtue of having had freedoms for so long), I truly appreciate the value of Independence and civil liberties.

Wow! Both of our hubbys FINALLY noticed us this weekend! It's about time, right??? Congrats on getting to Size 10 down from 1X! That's a wonderful accomplishment and a wonderful reward for all your hard work! BRAVO! I've been slacking in the exercise department too. Hoping to pick it up and get moving more this week. Sometimes it's just hard to get in the groove. Have a great week :D

You're getting there, obviously if hubby is noticing!!! I can't wait for the bra-o-meter or the pants-o-meter to start showing something too. Ankle weights are a great idea - if I could find some skinny ones that would be a great idea to wear around work. I'm so glad that you are tasting freedom finally (and chowing down on it when you get the final license)! Tia

One, or two, rounds of the Happy Dance for you! Isn't it wonderful when those compliments come around, especially from those that are oblivious about the details! I don't think my husband has come around yet, someone said that I was looking like I was losing weight and he is still trying to figure it out. Congrats! and hang on to your pants, at least until you get some new ones! :)

'allo gorgeous! well it sounds as if you are fading to nothing at all!!! (although I do think that there should be a minutes silence for the loss of the bossom bulk - a savage tragedy!). Its a great vindication is it not to see the blinkers coming off and for sheer hard work to be recognised!! That is brilliant. As for the muscle tone.. you KNOW that is something that you can work on.. and knowing you.. you will accomplish tremendous results there also.. You are a friend to be proud of, missus!

Congrats on the loose pants, hubby's comments, and fitting into the size 10's! The license thing sounds a bit frustrating. Do you still have to take a road test?

Great job on the test and the 10s!! Enjoy the freedom of going when you want/need to!! Now, you can just hop in the car and go get new pants whenever you fancy to! =D Nice that hubby finally noticed, too!

*head bowing down for a minute of silence in memory of a pair of good friends who were always there when I needed them. For bigger or smaller, in fatness and skinniness, till fat do us part. Boobs, I shall miss you and though so much of you girls have gone, I would rather remain a little on the heavy side than to lose anymore of you. You are truly assets in my life and in the life of many hopeful others!*

I'm so glad to hear of your husbands response. It seems as though those closest to us are the last ones to really notice. I know my husband wasn't really noticing as much when he was here, but after being away for a couple weeks, he really did. I totally understand about both the muscle mass and the 'boob' issue-- the problem for me is that I didn't have much of the second to begin with! I see a 'job' coming for me at some point.... You sound like you're doing great-- Keep it up!

Katrina, I have never been blessed in the upper dept either..so every single size drop is painful!! I used a herbal supplement called 'grobust' once and it did kick up my girls one size up. More than anything else, it firms them up, so that alone is worth it.

Try increasing your protein and doing some light exercise like yoga or pilates. That should get your muscle mass back up. On this diet you shouldn't lose muscle mass unless you go from exercising a lot to not exercising while you diet. Good luck and congratulations on the complement from your hubby! :)
