Getting really frustrated with the fact that no matter how much I work out I'm not losing ANY weight. I'm not even eating poorly, or else I'd have a reason. Feel like giving up.

I initially lost 20 lbs but have been stuck the past two weeks, and I'm not doing anything different. Don't give up though, if you are doing the right stuff, the weight will come off. Looking at your diet, maybe try increasing veggies and protein for a couple days. On motivation, I've been watching the past seasons of Biggest Loser on Hulu. It's good to see the transformation in people.

Oh dont give up Emeral. Hang in. Your too young to give up. You still have alot of get up and go in you. You have been given legs. So make use of them. There are hundreds of ways to use your legs. I know a gal who is 50 and she taught herself the Hula hooop. Also she has a year diary to walk, walk daily for a year. She has loss alot already. She walks in her neighbour hood every day. Yupper. Then as she leaves even in the winter. She gives her self a reason to go. Mid way to coming home. In winter. I seen her video. She made a snow man. Then she wrote. Have a nice day on the snow. Every day she has it recording as she walks. Then in the summer she does this Hoola Hoop. Now she has a thousand followers or buddies we call it or more in different places around the world. How encouraging is that.. Doing the years walk. Rain, snow. If it is too bad out. She goes to the mall and walks. You dont give up. Lets all do something to-gether. lets be the buddies to each other we need. Honey you dont want to gain you will be so sorry. Please read my journal today. It is a laugh. I have a beautiful daughter who is looking after her self fit. She dont want to have to go through like her Moma here at my age. See what happens when you give up. Then it becomes years. My sons are thin and fit. So reach for the stars. Dont give up. I am rooting for you.You know that saying. Try,try again but DON'T GIVE UP!

According to your chart, you are losing weight. It may not be as fast as you want it, but the scale looks like it's going down. What you need to do is adjust your weight loss expectations. Life isn't the biggest loser. Most people lose a pound a week. Some weeks might be more and some less. Some weeks we gain. It's all a part of the journey. What is the alternative if you quit? You end up back where you started. If you dig your heals in and keep going, you will eventually get to goal. So it may take some time. Time is going to pass any way. But if you stick with it, you WILL eventually get to goal. It takes a lot of time and patience to lose weight and change our body composition. Months of hard work. You have to be in this for the long haul. You can do this!

I agree with Suzi161 - think of this as a life change - not a diet. Make healthy choices one meal at a time and allow your body to adjust. If you think of it as a temporary "diet" that means you lose weight and then return to "regular" eating, you will just gain it all back. Patience is the key to losing and keeping if off!

Good job on keeping with it! You may want to evaluate your diet a bit since it seems that 800 calories is really low. I you've been eating these extremely low calories for a while it may be actually slowing your weight loss. It can be hard to increase them if you're accustomed to it but give it a try. Good calories.. Proteins and veggies as someone else suggested is a great start. Good luck!

Your doing really good just keep on going. I too had and still have weeks that go by where I remain the same weight, but you can overcome it. What worked for me was adding a few more min or a few more reps to my exercises, and I also started to moniter my protein and im eating a lot more foods high in protein, and im still within my R.D.I. I have been drinking ensure they give me the protein I need to get through my day as well as my exercises, I have at least 2 a day and then a well balanced dinner. I also get a good nights sleep, more then I used to.
