Thank you ~ it was so good. The egg whites are basically the pizza crust.

Tomatoes, tomato sauce, or just pepperoni?

I used spaghetti sauce.

Cool. I've tried to make a skillet pizza but it didn't taste much like pizza. I bet that helped.

All of the pizza posts were killing me ~ this gave me my fix.

Use pita bread as your base and you csn make your own pizza sauce that is much lower in both sodium and carbs.

Mmmmmm

@ Kenna ~ I am gluten free or I would use a pita. Gluten free products are so expensive. Yes, I should have made my own sauce. Would have been a better choice.

A great commercial marinara sauce is made by Yo—Mamma. It is almost as good as my own. Much lower carb and sodium. Harder to find. Sometimes I just order it from Amazon. Thank goodness for Amazon.

I have to limit gluten and can't afford the gluten free breads, plus I'm doing low carb. It's ridiculous, really. But I discovered something. If you use a fork and just eat the toppings, that's where all the flavors are. So when the family wants pizza, I'm right there too.

@ Kenna, thank you, I will check it out. Gotta love Amazon! @ Gillian ~ it is crazy the cost of gluten free. I have done that with pizza too ~ we do what we have to do.

Babayjo— Whole Foods has a whole line off gluten free including pizza dough. I did not know that almost all hamburger and hotdog buns are gluten free (I don’t know why). Whole Foods is affiliated with Amazon now.

I make a no gluten, zero carb cheese crust for pizza: I put a circle of shredded 5 cheese Italian blend on parchment paper, microwave 3 minutes, then let it cool completely. I heat my sauce and toppings, put them on the cooled crust then add mozzarella; then microwave until the mozz melts. It's about 350 calories for a "personal size" pizza.

Also, Silver Palate Marinara is very low carb, available in my local Kroger grocery store.

@ Kenna, thank you again! @ Gz9 that sounds amazing, thank you. @ Zrog, it's not a true crust ~ it is egg whites. @ Retta, thank you.
