Here is a fascinating interview about protein and the importance of muscle synthesis in life-long health. It includes how important protein and muscle are to health. Aging causes resistance to hormone stimulus to muscles, so older people need more protein. Very useful information!

Remember seeing that one and it played in the back of my head for awhile. After a few months, I tried 50g protein per meal for awhile. If I recall right, it boosted my recovery speed after exercise majority. Practically never felt sore muscles.
