What has been a super week with everything going smoothly turned very sour tonight. OH wanted an Indian take out and as its quite a way from home we drive down to the river and he eats there while the dog has a run. When we arrived at the river there were lots of police and an elderly chap in a camper van. He was obviously very upset and OH went to see if he could help after the majority of the police had left and found out he had witnessed someone drowning a dog in the river. I couldn't even ask what breed of dog I was so appalled. He eventually recovered his composure and the local vet came to collect it. I couldn't stay and walked away farther down the river. OH couldn't face his Indian after that. How can people be so cruel. There are so many animal charities to help if you have problems. Isometimes losemy faith in the human race and then I remember the wonderful support people on FS give one another and it somehow redresses the balance.

How awful. I hope the memory of that incident fades quickly. There is ugliness in this world ... difficult to see it up close and personal. HUGS to you!!

Oh, that just hurts my heart and makes me angry at the same time. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Animal cruelty and child abuse - victimizing the innocent and helpless. It just so evil. (((((hugs)))

I am so sorry to hear about the poor animal and the experience you both had because of this sick individual. {{{{{hugs}}}}}} I see cruelty all the time when we get new rescues into HORSEofCT.org and I know how heart breaking it can be to see it first hand. {{{{hugs}}}}}
