Diddlee's Journal, 12 June 2019

Break hard, and fall over the handlebars onto a sharp rough gravel road this morning. Many cuts, that are now 6% Hydrogen Peroxide treated. Next is soap brushing, and I'll try with a new soft toothbrush for that. This stuff will probably affect the weight loss plan. Still hope to get to goal within this month. Anyhow, today will be 'lazy' without much focus on dieting.

Your well wishes must have worked well. A big swelling on the leg is back to normal without bruusing. Didn't expect that. The two inch cut to the bone on my forehead feels great too. Expected a much worse day-after situation than this. Thank you guys. Anyhow, will eat for maintenance and healing this week. Back to the program next week.

wannabhealthier The bike is OK. Rode it home. Weird experience. Right after the fall I felt my head was failing, and I started to sprint run for a few hundred feet to combat the failing head. Then realized I'd left the bike behind. Went back for it and got home. The failing head was on and off during the ride. Got to see some concerned folks on the way. My face was covered in blood. Unexpectedly I feel like riding again today, but are not sure if wise or not.

No rides, dude! Get that bike checked out before you get on it again. My husband has done some damage to himself during rides. Ended up in the hospital twice. No overnighters and only one third degree shoulder separation. Both bikes had to be replaced. One was totaled. The other was given an okay by the local bike shop. WRONG. He was doing a competition ride several years ago and and the bike started oscillating on any downhill stretch. Very scary and dangerous. That bike had to be replaced as well. Take care of yourself, Diddlee!

sounds crappy. glad it's not even more serious. my friend went over his handlebars when a tire popped & had to have bolts put in his femur. then two more surgeries to fix issues with the first.

Tough one Diddlee, great to hear there were no broken bones and you could get yourself home!
