Hip is hurting today. It felt fine this morning, then I went out on a call with a very obese coworker. She kept dropping things on the floor and I kept retrieving them, because I figured it was easier for me to get down that low. I strained my hip again. Really pissed off. I am so worried that I won't be as fit when I feel better about my hip enough to go back to the gym. I am worried I won't be able to run my 4 miles. I am worried that I will get comfortable going to the gym and then just stop going. Like I always do. I am doing pretty good with food the last 4 days. I am just worried that I am not going to lose any more weight. I have been walking the dog every day, I figure some gentle exercise will loosen my hip up. I've been taking ibuprofen, but it's the generic kind from the SuperCenter. I have this thing about ibuprofen - I feel like I have to have the brand name Advil stuff. I really believe Advil works better than generic ibuprofen. Call me INSANE. I can't help but feel that. Advil is unfortunately 18 bucks for the big bottle. So I bought the cheap stuff. It doesn't work as well. It just doesn't! Maybe I'll go get some of the real deal.

It does work just as well. As far as I know Advil has aspirin & caffein added into it. You might want to go & see a physio therapist for your hip. I had a hip pain for over 1 1/2 years, some days were ok on others I could barely walk. She found out that my pelvis was twisted. After 2 session & some stretching exercises I was pain free & still am. & don't worry girl. You have come a long way! You can do this, you know you can :)

Aw I really feel for you, I have recurring pain that stops me exercising for a few days in a row sometimes and it sucks how you have the hurt of the pain itself, the worry about when it will go away and then the extra worries of losing fitness and becoming complacent! Like schmetterling34 I really believe generic painkillers work just as well - maybe the only thing that would make the brand names work better is the placebo effect of believing that they will work better, so listen to us and believe that about the cheapo drugs too! haha. I hope the pain gets better soon and when it does at least you know that you are capable of doing your 4 mile runs, even if you can't do them straight away... you have the faith in your past abilities to help work you back up there! Also you were kindly saying you were jealous of my losing... I really believe that I'm having a mini weight loss boost at the moment because I was less good over the holidays so my body's having a bit of a shock reaction now I'm back on the wagon, so who knows, maybe if you're forced to take a few days off and your body gets a bit complacent, it might shock it into some good weight loss again when you restart! Feel better soon x
